As if we needed another reason to head to Las Vegas. After teasing a “HUGE” announcement earlier in the day, Jennifer Lopez finally shared her big news Tuesday night. Beginning in January 2016, the singer/dancer/all around everything will begin a residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas! “So excited!!!” she shared on her Instagram with a video announcement. “This is going to be the show I’ve always dreamed of creating. #JloVegas.”

J. Lo isn’t the first major sensation to settle down in the City of Sin for a residency. She’ll be performing in the same arena that is currently home to Britney Spears’ show, while Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Céline Dion, and Olivia Newton-John are all killing it with their shows at other resorts. The timing comes just as Fox announced American Idol would begin its final season next January. Lopez is expected to remain one of the judges as she balances the reality competition show and the new LV gig.
