When Taylor Swift’s Blank Space came out, there has been a great debate about whether or not she was paying homage to a certain well-known coffee chain. It has become one of the great misheard lyrics of 2014: “All the lonely Starbucks lovers.”
The actual lyric, “got a long list of ex-lovers,” in fact had nothing at all to do with product placement, but this hasn’t stopped people from latching onto the incorrect version of the song.
Swift has responded to this great debate to Twitter, last Valentine’s Day, to set the record straight, even sparking the interest of the popular coffee chain via Twitter.

Now, months later, even Swift’s mom is all about Team “Starbucks Lovers.” This Saturday, Swift responded again via Twitter.

Yes! Even Swift’s mom agrees with the world and if she thinks it sounds like “Starbucks,” then it’s got to be Starbucks!
If you can’t get enough of Swift’s album, 1989, don’t forget to check out Taylor’s new music video for her single, Bad Blood, featuring Kendrick Lamar and a slew of stars from Selena Gomez to Lena Dunham, which has proven to be the epitome of girl power.
