They might have played warring New York City high-schoolers in 1999’s fabulously venomous Cruel Intentions, that I first watched when I was wayyy too young (“Why are two girls kissing, Mommy?”), but looks like the ladies of teen drama get along better in real life. Reese Witherspoon, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Selma Blair enjoyed a cast reunion in LA last night! The trio got together for the evening to watch an unauthorized musical parody of their hit reworking of literary classic Dangerous Liaisons, 16 years after the release of the original film.
Gellar and Witherspoon posted pics on their Twitter pages, with Reese calling their unofficial reunion the “Best girls night of the year!!!” Sarah Michelle Gellar congratulated the cast of the musical on an “amazing show” with a photo together.
Reese, Sarah, and Selma’s lives haven’t slowed down in the decade and a half since their time together. Sarah still reigns as half of the best 90s couple ever, Reese is still a big movie star with adorable offspring, and Selma is set to play Kris Kardashian in American Crime Story. Besides how awesome it is that the ladies took the time from their busy lives to check out this production, can we talk about the fact that there is a musical of Cruel Intentions? This I need to see.
