Comedian Amy Schumer has been absolutely killing it lately. From defying absurd society standards through her TV show and stand-up routines, to making fans throughout America convinced she should be the next Bachelorette, Schumer has spent the last few months showing us just how funny (and influential) women can be. She will also be hitting the big screen as the lead actress in Trainwreck with Bill Hader.
But as of this week, Schumer has also shown that comedy, TV and movies aren’t the only part of the entertainment industry she can break through. Schumer just announced she will be opening for none other than Madonna in New York City on September 16th, 17th and 19th.
She made this announcement Friday morning via Twitter, with an accompanying clip of her singing Madonna’s Like a Prayer as a child. (It’s completely adorable and worth the watch, FYI.)
The tour Madonna is on right now is for her album Rebel Heart, which was released in March and has already sold over 116,000 copies.
If you live in the New York City area and are interested in getting tickets to the show (and let’s be real, why WOULDN’T you be?), you can get tickets here. The first two shows will be at Madison Square Garden, with the third and final show at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
