Ben & Jerry’s Just Renamed An Ice Cream Flavor In Honor Of The Marriage Equality Ruling

As if today wasn’t great enough, now we have yet another way to celebrate the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of marriage equality! Everyone’s favorite two guys, Ben & Jerry, have come up with a clever way to acknowledge their approval of the SCOTUS decision – by renaming their Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream to “I Dough, I Dough” for the summer. Aww!

On their website, Ben & Jerry’s said the purpose of renaming the ice cream is to “celebrate the occasion, and the countless citizens who’ve worked so hard to make it happen.”

A cutesy name isn’t all thought – Ben & Jerry’s is giving back. If you purchase a pint sleeve of “I Dough, I Dough” from the Human Rights Campaign, 100 percent of proceeds support HRC’s fight for transgender, bisexual, lesbian, and gay equality. The purchase also includes a coupon for a free pint of Ben & Jerry’s redeemable at most major retailers.
Someone hand me a spoon. Celebration, commence.
