Warning! Spoiler alerts ahead if you haven’t yet watched the Season 5 finale of HBO’s Game of Thrones.
So although nothing has been officially confirmed, there is current speculation about Kit Harington, the actor who plays the infamous Jon Snow… who may or may not have been killed off on the finale and has had fans quite upset at the thought of him not returning.. has been seen out and about recently sporting his trademark long, thick, curly black “Jon Snow hairdo.”
Unless you follow Harington’s career some-what-closely, and therefore have seen some of his interviews, this may not seem like a very big, let a lone telling, deal.
But here’s the thing: the 28-year-old actor has previously said in an interview that he is legally obligated under contract to keep his long do for the duration of the show. After the finale, which led audiences to believe Snow is dead, which may or may not be true still, Harington did cut his hair a bit.
This sent fans into a panic, considering he has also said that he would be cutting his hair off “as soon as [he’s] allowed to.
So, although this may be too much of a reach to get your hopes up over just yet, rest assured that, since Harington is yet to change up his look when he has previously said that’s the first thing he would be doing, the chances of him returning for season 6 GOT are still out there. (Whether or not he will be returning as a human, however, is not something we can guarantee yet.)
