Attention, The Simpsons fans…and just general beer drinkers (aka this news concern most of us, especially that kid from your freshman year who insisted on scheduling his classes around when Homer Simpson appeared on his TV): Duff Beer is soon going to available in real life.
The catch: you’re going to need to plan a vacation to Chile.
According to the Wall Street Journal, 21st Century Fox, the company behind the iconic sitcom has introduced real-life Duff beer in the South American country, partly because they were tired of people there making money from their own bootleg versions of it.
So what’s it taste like? “It’s a premium lager,” Ariel Casarin, an associate professor of strategy at the Universidad Adolfo Ibanez in Santiago, Chile, said. “It’s got a very good balance of flavor and refreshment to it. It’s fairly deep golden in color. It’s got a hint of fruit to it. It’s got a caramel aromatic to it.”
They plan bring Duff to other places in South America and Europe by early 2016. Then hopefully eventually maybe the USA?
So head down to Moe’s Tavern (located in Chile) and order a pint. Duffman may or may not appear.
