Get ready for another billionaire baby!

On Friday, July 31st, CEO and co-founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg announced some big news on the social networking giant: He’s expecting a baby girl with his wife of three years, Priscilla Chan.

“Priscilla and I have some exciting news: we’re expecting a baby girl!” he started the post. “This will be a new chapter in our lives. We’ve already been so fortunate for the opportunity to touch people’s lives around the world — Cilla as a doctor and educator, and me through this community and philanthropy. Now we’ll focus on making the world a better place for our child and the next generation,” he continued.

Never one to discuss personal matters on his timeline, Zuckerberg continued the post by letting his over 30 million followers know that this wasn’t an easy road for him and his wife. The couple have been trying to conceive “for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way” he stated.

He went on to stress how important it is to share these mishaps with the world, or at the very least, the people close to you just as you should a successful pregnancy because there are far too many people struggling with miscarriages all alone. Ultimately, this isn’t something that should “distance us; [but] bring[s] us together,” he said.

The soon-to-be Facebook father concluded his post with this:

Our good news is that our pregnancy is now far enough along that the risk of loss is very low and we are very hopeful.

Cilla and our child are both healthy, I’m extremely excited to meet her and our dog Beast has no idea what’s coming. In our ultrasound, she even gave me a thumbs up “like” with her hand, so I’m already convinced she takes after me…”

And although Baby Zuckerberg gave her parents a thumbs up during an ultrasound check, months earlier, in December, during a “town hall” discussion with people from around the world, the dad-to-be said Facebook would be off-limits for any of his children until the age of 13.

The tech entrepreneur and Chan met in 2003 during college. Seven years later, they married on May 19, 2012 in a quiet backyard ceremony. And just like their pregnancy, they announced their nuptials on Facebook.

Today, Zuckerberg’s net worth is estimated at almost $35 billion, making him the 16th richest person in the world, this according to Forbes.
