I am shocked and I am horrified. I have no words for what I have just accosted my eyes with.
Hump nails, also called bubble nails, are created by layering acrylic paint on top of the nail until it creates a dome shape. The tip of the nail is kept either short (called a bubble) or elongated (called a hump).
They look so…heavy? They look really uncomfortable. How do you do anything with your hands without damaging the hump? Can you even use your hands anymore? How long does it take for that hump to be created? Far longer than the standard hour at the salon, I presume.
I mean, long acrylic nails are a pain to do anything with, but at least they don’t weigh anything. At least you can still scratch the inside of your nose. I think, even if you did get your finger up in your nostril, it’s going to stay there forever—like an unintended cork for your nose.
I guess, if you get in a fight, you need not clutch your hand into a fist. You can just backhand the individual into the wall. Maybe hump nails are the fashion world’s answer to ugly brass knuckles?
Would you try the hump nail trend?
