Pennsylvania Beauty Queen Arrested For Faking Cancer

Prepare to be disgusted with human beings. A beauty pageant queen who attended Penn State was dethroned and arrested after lying about having cancer. Faking the disease helped Brandi Lee Weaver-Gates raise thousands of dollars for “treatments.”
State police told WJAC that the 23 year old who won a 2015 Miss Pennsylvania offshoot pageant claimed to have leukemia, which she never had. For two years she went along with the lie, even fooling her own family by shaving her head and forcing her sister to drive her to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore for fake treatments. Her sister would wait in the lobby for up to eight hours while Weaver-Gates disappeared upstairs.
Weaver-Gates benefited from numerous fund-raisers, including “Bingo for Brandi,” which netted $14,000 in April.
An anonymous tip led state police to call the local hospital and Johns Hopkins, where they learned she was never a patient.
She was taken away in handcuffs yesterday and she’s due in court next week.
Needless to say, she’ll be required to give up her crown and dash when she’s released from detainment.
