Are you the girl whose kitchen is notoriously clean…because you literally never cook? Maybe you flunked Home Ec while simultaneously almost setting your high school on fire, but that doesn’t mean you’re sentenced to a life where the Chinese takeout place knows your order by heart. These recipes are so easy that anyone can make them and fool everyone into thinking they’re a chef.
I am absolutely in love with smoothies (orange mango smoothies are my favorite!). They’re extremely refreshing during those crazy humid days here in NYC. They’re a really easy way to start following a healthier diet and they’re super delicious. This week, I found another perfect breakfast recipe that’s super quick and easy for those days when you’re in a hurry and don’t really have much time to eat a huge breakfast.
This recipe is great because it’s filled with strawberries, mangoes and yummy Greek yogurt. It’s sure to be just the pick-me-up you need for those lazy mornings everybody gets from time to time. It should take you 10 minutes or less to make, so you can literally whip this sweet treat up and go. This smoothie is also an awesome energy boost, making it a great alternative to coffee. This could be just the recipe you’ve been looking for, to start off eating more healthy.
2 large bananas, previously peeled, sliced, and frozen
1 cup frozen mango chunks
1/4 cup orange juice
6 large strawberries, sliced
1/4 cup strawberry Greek yogurt
1/4 cup milk
Blend 1 banana, the mango, and orange juice together until smooth. Add more orange juice if it is too thick. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Pour equally into 2 glasses.
Rinse out the blender and blend 1 banana, the strawberries, yogurt, and milk together until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed. Layer some granola on top of the mango banana smoothie layer, then pour the strawberry smoothie on top. Top with more granola.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
