Well, looks like Jason Derulo had a pretty interesting stressful Saturday. Dealing with the various stressors of being in an airport is one of the most aggrivating parts of traveling. Usually for celebrities this isn’t a problem… since many just hop on their private jet.
But, apparently, not only does the 25-year-old singer not have a private jet (which, as you’ll see below, he blames his booking agent for), he also doesn’t get special treatment when flying Southwest Airlines. Or, more specifically, his friends don’t. And they aren’t happy about it.
While trying to board a flight on Saturday in Nevada, Derulo’s bodyguard was denied priority precheck, and he was pretty pissed about it. Enough so that he started yelling at the agents working at the gate.
There seems to be some confusion on the actual details. But it is speculated that some of his crew was kicked of the flight immediately, even after some, including Derulo, were initially allowed to board.
Things escalated to the point of having to have the cops come and ask that Derulo’s entire group was removed from the plane. Derulo and his entourage were on their way to Los Angeles for his show that night (obviously cutting it close and on a time crunch).
Derulo wasn’t happy– and in typical 21st century fashion took to social media to express this. Derulo posted a video on Instagram during the ordeal, telling his followers “I had to fire my travel agent for booking me somewhere I wasn’t supposed to be. But now we’re here, we’re good.”

Derulo turned the video towards his buddy seated next to him who then told the 1.7 million followers, “They can’t kick me off of this.”
According to TMZ, Derulo had asked to be escorted through security for a quicker check in and boarding process, but was denied. In the end, they ended up getting a private jet and Derulo was able to make it to his show.
