Kelly Osbourne, formerly of E!’s Fashion Police and The View, had a couple of words for her former co-host, Giuliana Rancic, and she certainly did not hold back. Osbourne called Rancic “a liar” and blames Rancic for the racist backlash that occurred after her appearance on The View.
To refresh everyone’s memory, Rancic made a joke about Osbourne’s best friend, Zendaya Coleman, stating that her deadlocks made the star look as if she smelled like weed and patchouli oil. The resulting backlash led Kelly to leave The View.
Recently, Osbourne found herself in the center of yet another racist backlash. While discussing the presidential election, she said, “If you kick every Latino out of this country, then who is going to be cleaning your toilets, Donald Trump?” Osbourne was blasted for these comments and was forced to make a statement on her social media page. However, this past Sunday, Kelly was ready to discuss the backlash as she addressed the criticism head on. While at the NYX Face Awards, Kelly was asked about the backlash. She said to Us Weekly:
“Don’t blame me for other people’s mistakes. I wasn’t edited. … It wasn’t a premeditated attack. And if I watched it, I would hate me too. So I have no problem, and I would do whatever I have to, to make it right. But don’t compare me to [Giuliana Rancic]. … You can see that they cut me off … You only saw a 6-second clip. When you watch the full episode, it’s a different story. But I’m not going to make up excuses because I don’t need to. I know who I am.”
Osbourne spoke to other outlets at the NYX Face Awards and told The Wrap, “I will never admit to liking Giuliana because I don’t. I don’t think she’s a good person and I think she’s a liar.”
You know what, Osbourne? I like you. You have guts and don’t hide behind facades when it comes to your personal relationships. Tell Rancic how you really feel.
Giuliana Rancic stated that she will be taking “the high road,” refusing to comment on Osbourne’s recent statements.
