Straight Outta Compton does it again. No other movie can top it at the box office. Straight Outta Compton soared to the top of the box office yet again this weekend earning $26.7 million, breaking the record for the biggest August opening of all time.
The film was directed by F. Gray Gray and captures the rise of gangsta rap artist N.W.A. at a time when police brutality against black people was at an all time high. The movie beat out its competitors American Ultra and Sinister 2.
