Three People Allegedly Commit Suicide After Ashley Madison Hack

Tragically, the infamous hack of the dating website, Ashley Madison, has allegedly led to three suicides. According to the BBC, two Canadians took their lives after the hack revealed their memberships to the website used primarily to cheat on spouses.
The hack revealed the email addresses, home addresses, and credit card information of over 30 million accounts. The company that owns Ashley Madison, Avid Life Media, offered $378,000 to anyone who helps the police in tracking down the hackers who go by the name, “Impact Team.”
The two suicides are currently unconfirmed and very little about the two deaths is known, the Toronto Star reports.
There appears to be no doubt regarding the website’s role in the suicide of Texas police captain, Michael Gorhum. The 25-year old San Antonio Police Department veteran killed himself days after the hackers published the private information he used for his account.

Eliot Shore, an Ashley Madison user, is suing Avid Life Media in a class-action lawsuit valued at $578 million. He claims that he became a member after he lost his wife of 30 years to cancer, but never actually cheated.
Ashley Madison is also being reportedly sued by a Missouri women who claims the website would delete certain information for $19, but failed to do so.
