Mikki Willis posted a video to Facebook that is flooding the internet with exclamations of acceptance.
In the video, Willis explains that his son Azai was given two birthday presents that were exactly the same. He told his son they would go to the store and exchange one of them for a toy that he didn’t have. Azai wanted a Disney Princess doll of Ariel, the Little Mermaid.
His dad’s reaction? Hell yeah (without the hell part).
Mikki continues,
Yeah. That’s how I feel… I let my boys choose their life… choose your expression, choose what you’re into, choose your sexuality, choose whatever. And you have my promise right now, both of you, as we sit in this hot car in this parking lot, you have my promise forever to love you and accept you no matter what life you choose.
He went on to promise his sons that he will love and accept them no matter what.

The video has blown up on Facebook, gaining over 14 million views on Facebook and the comments cheering the dad on.
Mikki posted a follow-up message on Monday, delving a bit deeper into his philosophy on parenting and adding he did have some reservations about Azai’s selection.
He wrote,
I did have a little reaction to Azai choosing that particular doll. When I saw the collection it was part of, and didn’t see much in the way of variety of skin colors or body types, I had to resist my urge to say, ‘Why don’t we chose a more realistic doll.’ I don’t want my boys to adapt to the programming that a women [sic] should be built like a Barbie.
Azai and his brother are two lucky kids.
