Today marks the eleventh anniversary of National Dog Day. Founded by Colleen Paige in 2004, National Dog Day seeks to recognize the number of dogs that still need rescuing each year as well as honoring the dogs who selflessly put their lives on the line every day to save human lives.
I have tears in my eyes just thinking about it.
