Jimmy Hubert: Georgia Tech Missing Student Found Bruised & Beaten

After he had been missing for three days, a Georgia Tech student was found alive but bruised. The student was 24-year-old James Hubert, known better to friends as Jimmy Hubert. In the early on the morning of October 19, he was found unresponsive by a female named Emma along some railroad tracks around 10 miles from where he disappeared. Police said he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital to be treated for injuries and recover with family members by his side, but it doesn’t appear that foul play was involved.

He had been missing since October 16 at around 11 p.m. along Joseph E Lowery Boulevard, close to the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta. He had attended a Phi Delta Theta fraternity formal that Friday night, left, and couldn’t be found.

Friends rallied to form a search party, trying to track pings off his cell phone to find his location. On Georgia Tech’s website, Rob Connolly of the school’s police department credited Hubert’s friends who searched for him. Connolly said, “Thanks goes to the students for not giving up on their friend.”
