I loved my sorority. I loved teaming up with fraternities during Homecoming Week to compete in volleyball tournaments, seeing familiar faces everywhere I went on campus, and having something to do every weekend.
Then there were other days where simply hearing “Kappa Delta” made me cringe. I would have preferred to take a nap than sit through another boring chapter meeting or wear yoga pants to class on a “Pin Attire” day.
Full disclosure – I could probably write an even longer list of reasons why being in a sorority is great (and I have written several about my positive experiences as a sorority girl), but I’m not going to pretend that going Greek is all rainbow shots and cute Instagram pics. Like anything in life, there are pros and cons.
