Judge Says Bindi Irwin Has To Prove Her Father Is Dead To Get Her 'DWTS' Pay

Bindi Irwin was captured our hearts on Dancing With the Stars, but she might not be able to collect her paycheck which currently stands at $230,000 and increases with each week she advances.
A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge says they needs proof that Bindi Irwin’s father, Steve Irwin, is dead.
The judge denied Bindi’s Dancing With the Stars contract because she is a minor (she’s 17) and needs both of her parents to sign off on the release in order for her to get paid by ABC.
Bindi’s mother, Terri, has already signed off on the contract, handing over all rights to the money she makes from the show, but the judge is requesting her father’s signature, too—or at least a death certificate—as proof that he’s relinquished his rights to her earnings.

Um, WHAT. Perhaps this judge is unaware that Bindi’s dad is none other than the Crocodile Hunter. Everyone knows Steve tragically passed away in 2006 when he was stung by a stingray while filming his show.
Hopefully this will all get cleared up ASAP because Bindi is killing the DWTS competition with partner Derek Hough. According to Mirror, Bindi has already earned $230,000 from the standard DWTS $125k starting fee plus advancing bonuses.

“The $230k figure is the sum total of that plus an extra $10k for each of weeks three and four, $15k for reaching week five, $20k for taking part in each of weeks six and seven, and $30k for week eight.
Should Bindi continue in the show, she will make another $30k for reaching week nine then $50k a week for weeks 10 and 11.”
