You’ve heard terrifying stories of a friend of a friend’s hair falling out after trying to dye her hair at home, but this girl did everything by the book and still got the short end of the stick.
An Imgur user posted a series of photos of a friend’s allergic reaction to hair dye and the photos are the stuff of nightmares.
User thechosenginger posted about the photos in on Reddit’s r/wtf forum, telling readers her friend had a severe allergic reaction to hair dye. She said her friend saw a stylist for the new color and “they have used that dye on her in the past, so it wasn’t expected.”
The anonymous girl got her hair done on Wednesday, but by Thursday her scalp started to itch. By Friday, she was so swollen she knew she had to head to the ER.
No one could have expected this just from wanting a hair color change.
