Conservative Blogger Shoots Holes Through 'The New York Times' Editorial

The conservative blogger, Erick Erickson, literally shot The New York Times front page Saturday editorial. The editorial called for tighter gun laws in the United States in wake of recent mass shootings.
This is the first time The New York Times has ran a front page editorial since 1920.
Erickson is the editor-in-chief of the conservative website, RedState.com. He posted the image of the bullet hole-ridden newspaper to both Twitter and his Instagram account. The photo was captioned: “This is what I think of the New York Times editorial today. The United States suffered it worst terrorist attacks since September 11 and the New York Times’ response it that all law-abiding citizens need their guns taken away. Screw them.” You can view the Instagram post below.

This is what I think of the New York Times editorial today. The United States suffered its worst terrorist attacks since September 11 and the New York Times' response is that all law-abiding citizens need their guns taken away. Screw them. The New York Times wants you to be sitting ducks for a bunch of arms jihadists who the New York Times thinks no doubt got that way because of the United States. It should be striking to every American citizen that the New York Times believes the nation should have unfettered abortion rights, a right not made explicit in the Constitution, but can have the Second Amendment right curtailed at will though it is explicitly in the Constitution. Again, we have suffered the worst terrorist attack in more than a decade and the New York Times believes now we must have our rights taken away as a response to terrorism. I hope everyone will join me in posting pictures of bulletholes in the New York Times editorial. Send them your response. Use the hashtag for my radio show and I may give you a shoutout. #EERS #glock #pewpew #2A #guns @shotspotguns

You know, for an editor-in-chief of a website, Erick Erickson’s grammar is atrocious. I’d really love to know what was going through Erickson’s head as he fired shot after shot into a newspaper. Was it supposed to be some profound statement that was supposed to convince us to vote in favor for lesser gun control? Quite frankly, this image convinces me to do the exact opposite. Additionally, it’s kind of hilarious because it’s such a massive overreaction.
