We’ve already established that the “Elf on the Shelf” tradition would have scared the crap out of our younger selves, but when people get creative with the little guy, it can be all kinds of hilarious.
Instead of thinking of fun positions and scenarios for an Elf on the Shelf doll, Joe and Megan Wynberg decided to step up their Elf game for their four kids this Christmas season. Joe apparently is looking for a Dad of the Year nomination because he is dressing up as Santa’s spy, who they call Fle, himself.
His wife Megan wrote on Facebook, “So we finally caved and decided to do the “Elf on the Shelf” thing. The kids are going to be so surprised! We named our elf FLE and he will be in some pretty precarious spots over the next 24 days! Enjoy.”
The results are almost too much to handle…and yes, somehow much creepier than the doll.
