The world lost a phenomenal actor in Alan Rickman today. The man who played the iconic villain/hero Professor Severus Snape in the Harry Potter movies lost his battle with cancer Thursday morning surrounded by family and friends in London.
As fans, we feel a unique sadness at losing someone we don’t even know, but Rickman’s HP castmates are mourning the loss of a friend. Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, JK Rowling, and more have taken to social media to give tribute to their coworker, pal, and inspiration.
