From Disney Channel cutie to boy bander to solo star, Nick Jonas has already done it all (and he’s only been around for 23 years). Whether he’s serenading thousands of fans at a concert or showing off his acting chops on Fox’s Scream Queens, this multitalented celeb has earned himself a lot of money in only a matter of 11 years or so. But exactly how much is the youngest Jo Bro worth?
Nick Jonas Net Worth as of 2018: $18 million
Here’s how Nick made his millions.
After spending his childhood years on the Broadway stage, Nick and his brothers, Joe and Kevin, were signed on by Columbia Records in 2006. The Jonas Brothers’ first album It’s About Time was released in August 2006 and sold only 50,000 copies.
Shortly after being dropped from Columbia, the Jonas Brothers signed with Hollywood Records in February 2007. The band’s self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers, was released in August 2007. It reached number five on the Billboard 200 chart in its first week and has since sold over three million copies worldwide.
After a guest appearance on Hannah Montana, the band had their own reality short series on Disney Channel entitled Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream in 2008. The series followed the band on two of their tours: the Look Me in the Eyes Tour in 2008 and the European leg of their world tour in 2009.
The Jonas Brothers’ third studio album, A Little Bit Longer, was released in August 12, 2008 and sold over 2 million copies worldwide. The band was named the 9th richest pop act of 2008. A year later, the Jonas Brothers released their fourth album Lines, Vines and Trying Times.
The Jonas Brothers’ activity with Disney Channel continued with the movie Camp Rock, co-starring Demi Lovato. The movie premiered on June 20, 2008. The film’s sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam premiered in September 2010.
The band also had their own Disney Channel series entitled JONAS (later retitled JONAS L.A.). The show premiered in May 2009 and lasted only two seasons and 34 episodes.
Outside of the Jonas Brothers, Nick also formed a second band: Nick Jonas & the Administration. The band released their first album in February 2010 and embarked on a month long tour.
Nick returned to the stage in 2010 with his role as Marius in the West End production of Les Miserables (Nick previously performed in the Broadway production of the show as Gavroche when he was a child). He would eventually reprise the role of Marius for the show’s 25th Anniversary Concert in October 2010.
Nick then starred in two more stage productions. His first role was Link Larkin in the Hollywood Bowl production of Hairspray in 2011. His second was J. Pierrepont Finch in the Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012.
In March 2012, the Jonas Brothers released a video on Twitter of them in their home studio, along with the hashtag “#JonasBrothers2012”, suggesting that a reunion was occurring. However, the reunion tour was cancelled in October 2013, days before it was supposed to start. The Jonas Brothers officially split on October 29, 2013.
After making an appearance on the show Hawaii Five-0 and starring the series Kingdom, Nick released the single “Chains” on iTunes in July 2014. The second single from his self-titled album, “Jealous,” was released two months later. “Jealous” earned a double platinum certification.
Nick released two more singles in 2015: “Under You” and “Levels.” He re-released his self titled album as Nick Jonas X2 in November 2015.
Nick also appeared as Boone Clemens in season one of the Ryan Murphy series Scream Queens.
Let’s hope 2016 will give Nick another chance to release another amazing album and boost his net worth even more.
Nick hasn’t released any new music for 2017 yet, however he’s been trying to keep busy with friends and family. He was nominated for Favorite Premium Series Actor for Kingdom during the People’s Choice Awards. There’s been little to no news about any upcoming projects since his last album, Last Year Was Complicated, released.
Nick Jonas and John Varvatos are teaming up for a new spring/summer 2018 collection.
