Channing Tatum & Joseph Gordon-Levitt Are Teaming Up For A Musical Comedy Film

It’s basically all of your dreams come true.

Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are taking their musical talents to the big screen for a brand new film. The project is an R-rated musical comedy that features two pilots on a misadventure, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Look, we don’t even have the full plot, but this already sounds fantastic. Channing Tatum and Joseph Gordon-Levitt dressed up as pilots dancing about and singing in some (probably) unknown location? I’m imagining them spinning in circles together a la The Sound Of Music. It doesn’t get any better than that, if you ask me.

The two already have demonstrated their musical prowess in several different films. Tatum is known for his dance movies, starring in the original Step Up and in Magic Mike and its sequels. Gordon-Levitt has performed in (500) Days of Summer and his show, HitRecord!. Interestingly enough, both men have shown off their lip-syncing skills on Lip Sync Battle. Tatum dressed as Beyonce and Gordon-Levitt dressed as Janet Jackson.

In short? It won’t be amateur night in this brand new musical comedy.

The untitled project has been picked up by Universal with 21 Jump Street writer, Michael Bacall, signed to write the script. The movie will be produced by Wicked‘s Broadway producers, Marc Platt and Adam Siegel.

How long do we have to wait for this film? I think I need it now.
