Vanessa plays the lead role of Emily Locke in the American action comedy Powerless. The pilot was green lit in 2015 and was approved for a series on May 11, 2016. It then premiered on February 2, 2017. Since then, reviews have been generally mixed. Vanessa’s performance has been praised and called “charming” by Sonia Saraiya. Although the first couple episodes had low reviews the show continues to improve and, according to Jesse Scheden of IGN, “leave[s] hope that the show will eventually realize its full potential.”
