In today’s news, Kanye West is being…Kanye.
Last night, the rapper took to Twitter to claim – all in caps – “BILL COSBY INNOCENT”

I know. *Insert eye roll emoji here.*
In case you’ve been living under a rock with no Wi-Fi for the past few months, you probably know that Bill Cosby has been accused of raping 50 women since 1965. Famous faces like model Janice Dickinson allege that Cosby gave her a pill to “help with menstrual cramps” before waking up naked.
“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she says. “Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain.”
After a few women stepped forward with their claims, more and more joined them with similar allegations. Many claims have passed the statute of limitations, but people have reported being sexually assaulted as recently as 2008.
Obviously Cosby is innocent until proven guilty, but it seems like the evidence is stacking up against him.
Kanye’s tweet didn’t go unnoticed. Many celebs responded to the unprovoked claim, including comedian Sarah Silverman who saw nothing funny about the situation.
Kanye!! You can't be for real. FIFTY WOMEN. With nothing to gain thanks to a statute of limitations ON RAPE. Oy. https://t.co/3ekYD43uMs

Given that Kanye’s new album is due to drop this week, this could all be a ploy for some attention. But really, this isn’t the type of attention he should be drawing.
Let’s hope Kanye’s PR agent is paid well.
