Ask anyone who has ever been on a diet – losing weight is no joke. You’re battling constant temptation as you pass Wendy’s on the way home, sipping water while your friends chug beer, and sweating it out for hours at the gym. But while most of us complain about a few vanity pounds with a vacation coming up, one Nebraska women knew she had to make a lifestyle change for her health, both mentally and physically.

Conner Rensch, 26, weighed in at 271 pounds when she started college. After years of bullying, she decided it was time for a lifestyle change.

Conner began meeting with a nutritionist who made her stop eating processed foods and personal trainer who whipped her into shape with kickboxing, cardio, and weight lifting. It sounds tough, but Conner managed to stick with the plan. It was worth it when she dropped 23 pounds in just 21 days.

After getting down to her goal weight of 144 pounds, Conner shocked everyone by entering the 2015 World Beauty Fitness And Fashion contest. She wore a bikini for the first time despite her stretch marks. And guess what? She got first place.

“I am so proud of my scars and stretch marks as they tell my story and how far I’ve come,” she told Daily Mail. “It was amazing to get up there and they shared my story as I walked out – it was such a proud moment of me, all my family was there.”

Conner has also gained social media fame from her weight loss triumph. She has amassed over 36,000 followers on Instagram, where she documents her fitness journey.

Check out some of the amazing photos from Conner’s transformation below, and maybe you won’t be able to find an excuse to skip the gym today.
