A Canadian Island Will Welcome Americans If Donald Trump Becomes President

The fact that Trump has supporters is baffling, but in the event that this toolbag billionaire gets elected president, luckily there’s a place to escape to. Our friendly neighbors to the north are pro-choice, gun free, ultra-diverse, and offering up Cape Breton.

“Hi Americans! Donald Trump may become the President of your country! If that happens, and you decide to get the hell out of there, might I suggest moving to Cape Breton Island,” website Cape Breton if Donald Trump Wins declared.

Cape Breton is an island off the Coast of Nova Scotia about 400 miles from the U.S./Canadian border, and it’s home to about 150,000 people. Yet in recent years, it’s population has been in decline, making it the perfect place to call home.

According to the New York Daily News, Cape Breton’s government is not affiliated with the site, the Nova Scotia island’s tourism department has seen a surge in web traffic. More than 12,000 people have viewed the island’s travel site this week — up from just 1,300 people last year.

To make the offer even more enticing, Cape Breton has the most “affordable housing market in North America,” and it’s not a frozen tundra all year long!

“Cape Breton isn’t frozen all year round!” the website wrote. “Our summers are delightful with highs in the 80 degree range. Winters here are very similar to the North East USA.”

Welp, it was nice knowing you, America.✌️
