Rebel Wilson learned the hard way about what happens when you get too close to One Direction fans’ beloved Harry Styles.
Back in November, Rebel Wilson charged the stage of The Ellen DeGeneres Show when One Direction were on. Adorned in a shirt with the boys’ faces on it, Wilson gave Styles a hug that was apparently too intense for Directioners. On Friday, Wilson revealed to Ellen, “Basically, I got accused of sexually assaulting Harry Styles.”
Can all of you Directioners tone it down for like three seconds? Accusing someone of sexual assault is a serious claim to make. You weren’t there – you’re certainly not Harry Styles – so pipe down.
Wilson continued, stating, “These little girls, I think they’re about 12 – very, very unhappy with [the hug]. Basically, we’re just like two professional entertainers having a good time, and he really enjoyed it. And, I told them that on Twitter, and then they just sent me more death threats.”
Guys and girls – it was just a hug! Sure it was one that made us all a little envious of Wilson – but it was just a hug! No one needs to die here.
Wilson concluded her story by stating that “there’s been no further action.” I’m sure the Directioners are thrilled.
Fangirls and fanboys are a scary breed.
