Despite Louis’ wonderfully cute photo with his son Freddie that he recently uploaded to his Instagram account, fatherhood hasn’t been very easy for the One Direction singer. According to People, Tomlinson has faced major roadblocks to seeing his newborn child.
A source has revealed that Tomlinson and the mother of his child, Briana Jungwirth, have reached “an interim agreement in terms of access” that will remain in effect for a couple of weeks in regards to the star’s ability to see his newborn son. The agreement allows for several hours of visitation a week, but no overnight visits. The source confirmed that the custody dispute will have to be handled in court if Tomlinson and Jungwirth are unable to “reach a long-term custody and child support agreement.”
Jungwirth, a stylist based in Los Angeles, allegedly denied Tomlinson access to their 5-week-old son over a disagreement about Tomlinson’s financial contributions, according to TMZ. According to another source, Tomlinson had covered Jungwirth’s expenses and was working on a fixed financial agreement with her until she requested more than Tomlinson deemed reasonable. The negotiations have since stopped.
Sources report to People that Tomlinon is generally generous financially, so I can only imagine how much she had to ask for before Tomlinson had to hesitate. I can only hope that the two parents are able to come to a custody and financial agreement for the sake of Freddie.
