On what would have been Bobbi Kristina Brown’s 23rd birthday, the results of her autopsy have been revealed to the public. According to the report, the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown died from a combination of alcohol, drugs, and drowning – eerily similar circumstances to her mother’s death on February 11, 2012.
According to the Daily Mail and The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office in Atlanta, “Bobbi Kristina died of lobar pneumonia, which was caused by the combination of drugs found in her system, drowning, and hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy – a neurological condition resulting from a lack of oxygen to the brain.” Substances found in her system included “marijuana, alcohol, benzoylecgonine (a cocaine-related substance), benzodiazepines (medications used for sedation or to treat anxiety), and morphine. It could not be determined from toxicology tests whether the morphine resulted from heroin use.”
However, the autopsy could not reveal if the death was intentional or accidental. The manner of death is currently listed as “undetermined.”
Bobbi Kristina was discovered face down in a bathtub in her home on January 31, 2015. After spending nearly seven months in a coma, the 22-year-old was pronounced dead on July 26.
