Fetty Wap Fans Petition For The Rapper To Perform At Nancy Reagan’s Funeral

I am a combination of being truly and utterly speechless and totally in love with the Internet over this story.

A petition has been started to have Fetty Wap perform at Nancy Reagan’s funeral. The former First Lady and wife of President Ronald Reagan, died yesterday on March 6 at the age of 94, according to the NME. Her funeral will be held on Friday.

A statement accompanying the petition explains that the New Jersey rapper should be asked to commemorate the “most famous Trap Queen in American history” because she was “married to the money and introduced America to the stove.”

Currently, there are 1,314 people who want Fetty Wap to perform his hit song, “Trap Queen,” at Nancy Reagan’s funeral.

If you are unsure as to what a “trap queen” is, Khloe Kardashian has helpfully defined it on her television show, Kocktails With Khloe. A trap queen is “a woman who helps you cook crack and allows you to kill it at the drug business.”

According to the petition itself, here’s Nancy Reagan’s contribution to the Trap World:

“While her husband, Ronald Reagan, was linking up with Papi to flood the streets with narcotics, Nancy was on TV telling kids to ’Say No To Drugs.’ Her infamous “anti-drug” phrase encouraged strict laws on drug possession that led to a school-to-prison pipeline we’re still dealing with now. Blacks and Latinos went to jail in droves for possessing drugs her husband gave them. It was an incredible sleight of hand that would make any wannabe Trap Queen hide in shame for her inability to be as diabolical as Nancy.”

As ridiculous as it sounds, the petition is a real thing. While asking Fetty Wap to perform at her funeral is probably one of the most outrageous things the Internet has suggested as of late, the reasoning behind it isn’t total blasphemy.
