I’m no marketing expert, but my guess is that labeling a dress “Fat Lady Vintage” is probably not the best way to drive business. Sure, we’re talking about it now, but certainly not for the right reasons.
The shopping platform Wish is being very blunt when it comes to a plus-size maxi dress available for purchase on the site. The description reads, “Fat Lady Vintage Sexy Evening Dress Printing Patchwork Maxi Dress Party Dress Floor Length A-Line Condole Belt.” Yikes that’s a mouthful. First of all, whoever wrote that needs a lesson in proofreading, in addition to what some may call an insensitive description.
Since many of Wish’s products are imported from China, we suspect hope that this mistake may be related to language barriers. Unfortunately, that’s not the only product labeled this way. When typing “fat lady” into the search bar, tons of items come up.

Just a little tip: If you want to sell a product, don’t insult people’s size.
