I’m practically the opposite of Kimmy Schmidt. Not only did I not spend most of my life in a bunker, but I am a realist – AKA what most people would call a pessimist. My Twitter is full of venting sessions and complaints. I always anticipate that things won’t work out so I don’t get my hopes up. I also hate most humans.
Then there’s Ellie Kemper’s character on the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. She’s an unwavering optimist who sees the very best in everyone. It’s slightly irritating but definitely not something to ignore. Titus Andromedon will always be my Netflix spirit animal, but Kimmy is definitely teaching me a few things.
With the entire season two of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt premiering on Netflix on April 15 (!), it’s time to re-binge season one in preparation. While our drinking game for the series should be sufficient entertainment, it’s not a bad idea to learn something while you watch.
