It’s really hard to believe that Jennifer Aniston is 47 years old. Actually, it’s impossible. I kind of refuse to believe that she’s nearing half a century on earth with that insanely toned body and glowing skin. So of course when Elle got Jen to share what her diet on a typical days look like, I counted resist clicking.
Turns out that Jen isn’t always on some sort of miracle juice cleanse or detox. In fact, she’s known to splurge on pasta just like us mortals. Check out her food diary for a day.
The most important meal of the day is all about protein.
“When I wake up, I have warm lemon water and then I have a shake or avocado and eggs, which is one of my favorites,” Aniston says. “I sprinkle a little coconut oil on that. Sometimes, I’ll have a puffed millet cereal with a banana or I’ll do oatmeal with an egg white whipped in at the end.”
In the middle of the day, Jen reaches for “some form of vegetables or salad with protein—pretty basic.”
Nuts, apples, and almond butter keep Jennifer satisfied throughout the day.
While on a typical day dinner closely resembles lunch, Jennifer admits that she’s not afraid to indulge in a little Mexican food or an Italian favorite.
“Pasta has taken over as my new favorite go-to-town food,” she says, claiming her husband Justin Theroux makes a killer pasta carbonara.
Jen is a longtime practicer of yoga, as evidenced by her killer arms.
So there you have it. Lots of protein and the occasional trip to Olive Garden will give you the Rachel Green body you’ve always wanted.*
