Woman Sues Starbucks For Putting Too Much Ice In Her Drinks, Because America

Today in absurd news, an Illinois woman is reportedly suing Starbucks over the amount of ice they put in their customer’s drinks. She’s asking for a cool $5 mil to be exact. Pun intended.

Pincus filed the suit in federal court on Wednesday and is accusing the popular coffee chain of stiffing their customers by putting too many ice cubes in their cold beverages, which obviously take up space.

Hey lady, if you’re ordering something cold, what do you expect?! Just ask for a little ice next time. That is a thing, you know. Dear Lord.

“Starbucks is advertising the size of its Cold Drink cups on its menu, rather than the amount of fluid a customer will receive when they purchase a Cold Drink—and deceiving its customers in the process,” the she claims.

I meeaaannn, restaurants do this all the time with soda and other drinks too. Is she going to have dozens of lawsuits going at one time?! What makes Starbucks the lucky culprit?

Pincus says that customers who order a 24-ounce “Venti” coffee only receive 14 ounces of actual coffee.

Thankfully a sassy Starbucks spokesperson responded to the lawsuit saying, “Our customers understand and expect that ice is an essential component of any ‘iced’ beverage.” BOOM.

Imagine that?!
