Recently Colton Haynes made news by officially coming out of the closet in an Entertainment Weekly article. Although the 27-year-old actor had been open with his family and close friends for years, he thought it was time for the rest of the world to know. Haynes has received immense support from his fans and he has given thanks on Instagram for everyone’s kind words.
Haynes’ career started off at the age of 15 when he moved to New York City to pursue a modeling career. He has worked for Abercrombie & Fitch, Ralph Lauren, Teen Vogue, J.C. Penney, amongst others campaigns. Long before Haynes became famous for portraying Roy Harper/Arsenal on Arrow and Jackson Whittmore on Teen Wolf, he had made appearances on several shows like CSI: Miami and The Hills.
He has also participated in music videos for Victoria Justice, Leona Lewis, My Chemical Romance and Andy Grammer. Haynes has even released music of his own. In 2007, the actor made an appearance in Transformers and last year he starred in the movie San Andreas. Haynes even auditioned for Edward Cullen in the well-known vampire love story, Twilight.
