Man Uses Facebook Live to Stream His Wife Giving Birth & Yeah, It’s Pretty Weird

You know what’s great about about Facebook Live? Finally learning how to do that damn french braid you’ve been failing at for weeks and watching cool celeb interviews. Those two situations — a difficult how to and an interview that calls for fan questions — are perfect for Facebook Live. You know when using Facebook Live isn’t such a great idea? When your wife is pushing a human out of her body.

However, Fakamalo Kihe Eiki begs to differ. The self-proclaimed Christian comedian was caught live streaming his wife’s birth to all of his Facebook friends Monday. In between shouts of “good, good, good!” Eiki acquired comments of encouragement from randos online while managing to not get punched in the face by his agonized wife.

The video currently has about 5.5k views and continues to grow, despite the fact that this whole situation is terrifying and bizarre. Especially the final comment, which Eiki posted presumably after his wife was done passing that six pound newborn: “thanks guys for enjoying the gift of life with me… lol come celebrate next weekend bbq if in area… :).”

For the sake of your gag reflex, we’ve opted to not share the Facebook video in this post, but for the morbidly curious, you can watch it here. God help my husband if he ever thinks this is a good idea.
