Walking in the Upper East Side, you’re bound to see some expensive, flashy cars. Though, usually, they don’t have dogs sitting behind the wheel.
Meet Luigi Maestro, a 5-year-old Shih Tzu who can sometimes be spotted driving around Manhattan in his miniature BMW. Of course, Luigi—who’s much too young to apply for a driver’s license in the state of New York—is not the one driving. The car is controlled remotely by his owner Anisha Lakhani, who is never more than a few steps behind.

Lakhani is a New York-based author, screenwriter, and freelance journalist, who used to teach at the Dalton School. When she and Luigi hit the town, they certainly turn heads. Small crowds of people gather to stop and stare, most whip out their phones and cameras to take a picture. A lot of these sightings have been posted to social media, like Twitter. Here’s Luigi on his way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art:

To make the cute even more adorable: the remote-controlled car was actually a birthday gift for Luigi.
“I gave it to him for his fifth birthday,” Lakhani told The New York Post. “My little Luigi has always been an Upper East Side high-roller, and nothing could be more fitting for him than a Beemer.”

Must be nice to be a really cute puppy.
