Over the past few years, binge watching shows on Netflix has become everyone’s new favorite hobby. I am someone who is constantly trying to squeeze in just one more episode before bed, regardless of how tired I am.
For those with significant others, watching shows together on Netflix is something you probably do quite often. It’s a great idea because it gives you something to bond over, but what do you do when you want to squeeze in another episode and your partner isn’t around?
If you’re constantly worried about your partner watching more of the show without you, than you know exactly what I’m talking about. Lucky for you, British ice cream brand Cornetto is now introducing “commitment rings” to solve our problems and put a stop to binge cheating.
The commitment rings use near-field communication to link to couples with services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime for six months. By registering the rings through an app, users then choose what shows they want to watch together. If the rings are not close to one another, the app will block the series from being watched. Who needs an engagement ring when you can have one of these!
Sadly the product is not available yet, but you can sign up here to find out when they will be released. Check out this video to get more information on the rings and to see what they are all about!
