‘Real Housewives Of New Jersey’ Star John Karagiorgis Has Died

It was reported today that John “The Greek” Karagiorgis has suddenly passed away from a heart attack.

The Paramus, New Jersey, resident was the co-owner of the hot dog restaurant, Rutt’s Hutt, located in Clifton, New Jersey. He additionally appeared numerous times as a guest star on Real Housewives Of New Jersey alongside his hair salon owning wife, Penny Drossos-Karagiorgis.

The late reality star is best known for filing a lawsuit against Bravo and NBC after an infamous fight with Joe Gorga and Chris Laurita was recorded on camera back in 2013. The fight occurred after Gorga confronted John about remarks he allegedly made against the mother-of-three.

After criminal charges were brought against Karagiorgis, he claimed that the show’s producers created the fight, according to the New York Daily News.

However, the charges were later dropped.

Since the news of his passing has been announced, Drossos has shared photos of her beloved late husband on Facebook, one featuring him with the couple’s children and the other from their wedding day.

This has been a tumultuous and difficult year for Drossos-Karagiorgis. In February 2016, she mourned the loss of her friend and fellow reality television star, Big Ang.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Karagiorgis’ family during this tragic time.
