The Turner family and those associated with them become more infuriating by the day.
According to the Dayton Daily News, Dan Turner, the father of convicted Stanford rapist, Brock Turner, set up an account in his own name with Ohio’s Wright-Patt Credit Union.
The bank could not confirm anything more than the existence of the account. It was discovered that a now-deactivated Facebook page called the “Turner Family Support Fund” was set up by a self-proclaimed lifelong friend in early May. The page had around 40 invited members and provided information on how to donate to the Wright-Patt Credit Union account. The friend wanted to do what she could to “ease the financial burden” the case has placed on the Turner family as well as show “support, friendship and solidarity” with the Turners.
The friend who set up the Facebook page could not be contacted. However, WDTN was able to speak with an old neighbor of the Turner family. The neighbors said that she supports both the family and Dan Turner’s decision to write the horrific letter he sent to Judge Aaron Persky about his son.
The family has not yet acknowledged the fund, which still remains active at this time.
Brock Turner was originally sentenced to six months in jail, but will now only serve four due to “good behavior.”
