Fashion Designer Makes Zits Cool, So Don’t Fret That Chin Blemish

The fashion industry has always been a means of insecurity. The chances of looking like Gisele Bundchen are slim, unless you’re dedicated to never eating again and working out for at least 17 hours a day. But Malaysian designer Moto Guo is trying to turn the stigma around with his unique take on beauty. And it’s far from the perfection we’re used to seeing strut down the runway.

During Milan Men’s Fashion Week, Guo sent models on the runway with purposely blotchy, pimple-marked skin instead of opting for the aesthetic perfection of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. Whether or not the models’ acne was legit or made worse with makeup remains unknown, but photos from the show reflect before pictures from Clean and Clear ads.

Um…. ok. Not only do they have some mean zits showing their faces, but the models also look kind of dirty. I love challenging beauty standards, but showering is necessary. Am I the only person confused by this new “trend?” Tell us what you think in the comments section below.
