After Taylor Swift’s team confirmed that she wrote his hit song “This is What You Came For,” Calvin Harris fought back on Twitter. Let’s just say he’s not happy about the story.
Several celebrity news sources released a stories earlier today detailing the demise of Swift and Harris’ relationship, crediting it to the two mixing business with pleasure.
During their relationship, Taylor wrote [This is What You Came For], sat down at a piano and did a demo into her iPhone. She sent it to Calvin, who loved it. They both went into a studio and did a full demo with Taylor on vocals and Calvin doing the beat.
They both knew the song would be a hit, but Taylor wrote it for Calvin and both agreed it was a bad idea to let the world know they collaborated as a couple … it would overshadow the song.
The story initially started as a fan rumor. Once Swift’s team confirmed her involvement with People, Harris made it known in a string of scathing tweets.
Ouch. Can I just say, Calvin Harris is the most ex-boyfriendy boyfriend ever. With lines like, “I figure if you’re happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex bf down for something to do” and “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury…,” he’s literally the nightmare you don’t want to deal with post-relationship.
Dude, come on. She wrote the song. What’s the big deal? It’s just honest! It’s a great song and you’re killing the game. Can’t you two just be civil?! And can you PLEASE get off social media? It’s not doing you any favors.
