Pretty Little Liars never fails to play with our heartstrings, and rumor has it that another one of Rosewood’s finest is going to be killed off during the show’s seventh season return August 2. Get ready for a good ugly cry because Toby Cavanaugh is suspected to be the next character to be killed off the show.
Writer Marlene King has been upfront in saying that Pretty Little Liars season 7 is going to be one of the bloodiest yet, stating, “We don’t take deaths lightly here, so everyone who dies does so for a very impactful and important reason.”
Fan theories about Cavanaugh’s inevitable death have been making their way around the internet for a while now, and the evidence is hard to deny. In an article from EOnline, spoilers regarding season 7 were revealed to fans, one of them stating, “Spencer will end a relationship with either Caleb or Toby this season, and it felt like such a real end to a seven-year long friendship filming the scene made Bellisario cry!”
Bellisario followed up by noting that the scene that made her cry was with Keegan Allen, AKA Toby.
Then last week, Allen posted the following photo to his Twitter account:

According to WetPaint, Tumblr user WresIsCharles noted that Keegan has been absent from the set ever since Pretty Little Liars Season 7B has kicked off. And considering he posted the below photo from Portland when the rest of the cast was shooting in Burbank, California, he’s obviously not wandering through Rosewood.

At this point, we wouldn’t be entirely surprised. If there’s one thing PLL is good at, it’s f*cking with us, and killing off Toby would do just that. It would also be unusually cruel.
