Justin Bieber has managed to win his way back into our hearts after years of being a really hot douche bag, but a recent Instagram post could destroy all that progress. Two days ago, the Biebs posted a photo with Jeffrey Jones, the actor known for his role as Principal Rooney in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. Seems relatively harmless, right? It would be if Jones wasn’t also known for a child pornography conviction.
Jones was arrested in 2003 for possession of child pornography and was accused of soliciting a minor boy to pose for pornographic photos. He plead the felony charge as no contest and was sentenced to five years probation, and added his name to the sex offenders registry. However, after moving to Florida and neglecting to update his offender status, he was required to do 250 hours of community service along with serving an additional three years probation.
The whole thing was pretty sketchy, so when Bieber posted the photo, fans were less than thrilled.
Maybe he didn’t know about the guy’s track record? Or maybe he did and just didn’t care? Either way, it’s not the end of the world.
