Due To Doughnuts, Ariana Grande Couldn’t Perform At The White House

I guess this is a friendly, public reminder that your past actions always have the capability of sneaking up on you.

The world may have forgotten about Ariana Grande licking doughnuts and putting them back, but the White House hasn’t. The White House is in fact still holding it against Grande.

In a series of leaked emails, it was made clear that the singer was not welcome at the White House to perform at last year’s Democratic National Convention (DNC). Last September, DNC Finance Chair Zachary Allen sent an email asking for Grande to be selected for a gala performance for President Obama.

His staffers, however, were not having it.

“Video caught her licking other peoples’ donuts while saying she hates America,” an email response read.

A Republican congressman also took issue with Grande because “liberals were not upset with her like they are with Trump who criticized Mexicans,” even after she “cursed out a person on Twitter after that person used an offensive word towards her brother.”

Gawker published the full email, which includes her date of birth, employment information and her otherwise clean record.

I mean, aside from the whole doughnut incident. The world of politics is certainly a wild one, isn’t it?
