Jordan Rodgers has been a questionable Bachelorette contestant since the start, but now his brother Aaron Rodgers is calling him out for it as well. The 32-year-old Green Bay Packers quarterback openly denounced his younger brother for bringing their family drama to reality TV.
Recently the 27-year-old vying for Jojo Fletcher’s heart revealed that he hasn’t been in touch with his older brother for the last couple of years. The NFL quarterback refrained from commenting on the family rift, but on Tuesday, during an interview with ABC affiliate WISN in Milwaukee, he spoke out about disliking the show and not watching it. He also said that Jordan talking about family matters on TV is “inappropriate.”
“As far as those kinds of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters, so I’m not going to speak on those things,” he said when asked to elaborate on the nature of their relationship. “But I wish him well in the competition.”
An episode earlier this month involved Jordan taking Jojo back to his hometown to meet his family. While there, the couple went to his high school where a photo of Aaron hanging on the wall made Jordan visibly uncomfortable.
Afterwards they went to meet up wit his parents and brother Luke — who might have let slip that his brother is the overall winner of the show — and Jojo mentioned Aaron’s absence. “It doesn’t need to be a topic,” he told her. “I’ll just tell them we talked about it.”
There’s nothing more awkward than explaining a family falling out to a new girlfriend on TV. If Jordan wins this thing, we’re sure more details about the family drama will surface. Or at least we hope so.
